Hydraulics Modelling Services (HMS) was set up 14 years ago as a management buy out from Binnie and Partners, now Binnie Black and Veatch (BB&V).We retain a close link with BB&V who are an international engineering consultancy specialising in water and water related projects.

The company have a specialist Hydraulics Group covering all aspects of open channel and closed conduit flow and they provide advice and direction to the firm on all hydraulic matters. HMS specialises in the physical modelling of hydraulic structures such as spillways, pump sumps and elements of treatment works.

We currently manufacture Cryptosporidium and Plumbosolvency Sampling equipment aswell as offering high quality, cost effective modelling facilities in our west London laboratories. Many of the projects we have carried out have been for BB&V acting on behalf of their clients, generally U.K. water companies.When HMS Ltd. carry out projects directly, we use BB&V for "expert advice".
